Air Blowing Bitumen:
The production of bitumen involves three standard methods, namely the Blowing method, Straight run method, and Blending method, which are employed in Iran and other countries.
Air Blowing Bitumen is manufactured through the process of combining vacuum Bottom (VB) and air in a reactor. By controlling the process conditions, various grades of bitumen are produced.
Bitumen classification is based on different specifications such as penetration, viscosity, and the performance of bitumen on the road, among others.

Customized Bitumen:
This type is created based on the requests of customers. Pavements that are specifically designed and built to withstand heavy traffic and extreme weather conditions require custom-engineered grades of bitumen. By altering the characteristics of the original bitumen through changes in processing conditions and/or the addition of modifiers such as polymers and rubber, these specifications can be met.
Bitumen Emulsion:
Bitumen emulsions are O/W (Oil on Water) solutions, consisting of bitumen particles dispersed in the water phase and stabilized with surfactants, also known as emulsifiers. These emulsions are commonly used for tack coats between hot mix asphalt layers, prime coats for thin hot mix surfacing layers, chip seal pavements, cold mixed asphalt, and maintenance binder applications.
Bitumen emulsions are categorized as:
Anionic with negatively charged globules
* Cationic with positively charged globules
* Non-ionic with neutral globules.
Additionally, they are classified based on the time of setting after spraying, categorized as: Quick Set (QS), Rapid Set (RS), Medium Set (MS), and Slow Set (SS).
Cutback Bitumen:
The process of creating Cutback Bitumen involves the addition of controlled amounts of petroleum solvents such as Kerosene, Gasole, and Gasoline. This is done to reduce the viscosity of bitumen for spraying at ambient temperatures, making it suitable for various applications including Asphalt Pavement Construction, Maintenance, Prime and Tack Coating, and others. Cutback bitumen is classified based on the time of curing after spraying as Rapid Curing (RC), Medium Curing (MC), and Slow Curing (SC).
